Gulab not only means pink, but it is also a term used for roses in Hindi/Punjabi. Now what you see is not the same picture twice; though it could’ve the same rose variety. Would appear that that some of the lost label roses on project othello are very pink.

In Macedonia we use the word “gulab” for pigeon 😀
Now I can’t imagine pink pigeons
No,it’s Macedonian word about pigeon 🙂
So gulab jaman is to do with pink or roses?
Gulab jaman with vanilla ice cream is lovely. I suspect that they may have once been flavoured with roses/rose water perhaps? Wouldn’t know the answer to that!
I love gulab jaman just as it is… Might have some tomorrow 🙂
