DCIU: News!

Has been a busy few days for Devan Coultrie is Unwell. First thing, firs. We have a win! Having been selected at the Parai Musical International Awards, DCIU is a winner in the category of Best Movie Background score. This is the music that was made by AKM Music, and is royalty free.

DCIU was even screened in Chennai as part of this festival. This is the first screening of the film, ever; something really quite special. I made a virtual appearance via a video.

It does feel very rather mind-blowing, to have DCIU screened and internationally.

Other news, and this is really rather cool. DCIU was made in Birmingham, by a cast/crew based here in the Midlands. Birmingham Film Festival was one of the first festivals that DCIU was entered into when it was first released in January 2023. Receiving notification that DCIU had been selected is very special. Particularly as this is a home festival.

Devan Coultrie is Unwell: So far!

Well, it’s nearly six months since Devan Coultrie is Unwell was released. What an adventure it has been so far!

The last six months has seen a fair few laurels land for the cast/crew of of Devan Coultrie is Unwell. There is another six months on this Filmy-Adventure!

Confused, out of sorts; Devan’s day isn’t going well. From the bathroom, his bedroom to a bar. What exactly is going on?

DCIU Film success: Vesuvius International Film Festival

A bit delayed, but some good news.

As you aware Devan Coultrie is Unwell was released last month. It has subsequently been entered into film festivals.

The first of which was the Vesuvius International Film Festival in Campania, Italy.

I was rather excited to see that DCIU had in the first instance been selected in this edition of the festival and in the Best COVID-19 Short category. Then the film was declared a finalist, before actually winning!

A rather cool achievement really, given how long the journey has been to get the film out. Plus, now it’s a winner of a competition!

A thank you to the Vesuvius International Film festival, but also the to the cast/crew whose hard work is now being appreciated.

You can click on the DCIU page at the top to watch the film for yourself. Please also keep your fingers cross as DCIU continues it’s film festival journey.
